President Of PFN Urges Government To Ensure Equity In Resolving Agitations Across The Country

The Federal government has been charged to practice good governance and equity as a means of resolving the agitations across the country.

National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Bishop WALE OKE, gave this charge while addressing a press conference on the state of the nation at the Redemption Camp of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Mowe, Ogun State.

He said until government ensures that there is equity in the participation and representation in governance by the people, agitation in parts of the country will never stop.

According to him, if government silence NNAMDI KANU and SUNDAY IGBOHO, others will rise so long there is injustice in the land.

Bishop OKE also appealed to the federal government to prioritize security of lives and property in the country.

PFN Says Catholic Bishop Of Sokoto Diocese, Matthew Kukah, Should Not Be Used As Sacrificial Lamb

The President, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Dr. FELIX OMOBUDE, has said Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Bishop MATTHEW KUKAH, should not be used as the sacrificial lamb.

Speaking to journalists in his church premises in Benin, OMOBUDE backed Bishop KUKAH for speaking the truth at "this critical time of our national life."

He described KUKAH as an advocate of democracy saying he could not have been calling for the military overthrow of the government.

KUKAH, in his Christmas message, titled, 'A nation in search of vindication,' accused the President of deliberately sacrificing the dreams of Nigerians to institutionalize northern hegemony.

The message had drawn the ire of the Presidency, the Northern Elders Forum, Muslim Rights Concern as well as the Coalition of Northern Groups.

Constitutional lawyer, Barrister FRED NZEAKO reacts to MURIC's request that KUKAH should recuse himself from the National Peace Committee.
