Romano Reveals Olivier Giroud’s Next Club

Renowned football transfer insider Fabrizio Romano recently unveiled breaking news stating that Los Angeles FC is on the verge of securing a deal to acquire AC Milan's star striker, Olivier Giroud. Romano shared this significant development via his official X account on Twitter, confirming that a verbal agreement has been reached between the parties involved.

In his tweet on Wednesday, Romano stated, "LAFC have reached a verbal agreement to sign Olivier Giroud on a contract valid until December 2025! After expressing interest back in October and submitting a formal bid earlier this week, an initial agreement has been established. While nothing has been officially signed yet, the deal is on the brink of completion. Here we go, soon." Giroud, who is currently 37 years old, made his move to Milan from Chelsea in 2021.

AC Milan Reclaim Serie A Top Spot After Dramatic Win At Lazio

AC Milan returned to the top of Serie A with a dramatic injury-time victory over Lazio.

The Rossoneri were caught napping after four minutes as Ciro Immobile stole in for his 26th goal of the season.

Olivier Giroud levelled straight after half-time and Milan's pressure paid off when sub Zlatan Ibrahimovic set up Sandro Tonali for the winner.

Stefano Pioli's side are two points clear of Inter with four games left but they have played a game more.

Conceding Immobile's opener was the worst possible start but Pioli's side were immediately on the front foot, only for Giroud, Barcelona-bound Franck Kessie and the impressive Rafael Leao to pass up presentable chances.

Undeterred, Giroud scored his first club goal for seven games when he turned home Leao's cross immediately after the restart.

Pioli sent on 40-year-old Ibrahimovic and in a frantic last 10 minutes, Lazio keeper Thomas Strakosha made excellent saves from Leao and Ante Rebic.

Ibrahimovic then had a golden opportunity in the 89th minute but dallied and his wayward shot was blocked.

It looked like their title bid was stalling, but Lazio defender Adam Marusic gave the ball away, Ibrahimovic won a vital header and Tonali was on hand to bundle in a vital winner.

Giroud Goal Moves AC Milan Top Of Seria A Table

Former Arsenal and Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud scored the only goal as AC Milan defatedTorino to take Milan to the top of Serie A.

35-year-old Giroud, scored from close range at the back post after some tidy work from Rade Krunic after 14 minutes.

The France World Cup winner, who joined Milan after his Chelsea contract expired at the end of last season, has now scored four times in six league games.

Milan are three points ahead of Napoli, who play Bologna at home on Thursday.

Tommaso Pobega had a chance to equalise for Torino but headed wide early in the second half and substitute Dennis Praet, on loan from Leicester City, also missed an opportunity late on when his effort clipped the Milan crossbar.

Stefano Pioli guided Milan to second last season - their highest finish since 2011-12 - and they have won nine and drawn one of their opening 10 Serie A matches this campaign as they push for their first league title since 2010-11.

Milan are next in action on Sunday with an away game at Jose Mourinho's Roma, who are fourth in the table with 16 points from nine matches.

Chelsea open to selling Giroud, Pedro in January

Chelsea could listen to bids for World Cup winners Olivier Giroud and Pedro in January.

Neither Giroud nor Pedro were part of Frank Lampard’s squad for the dramatic Champions League Group H draw against Ajax on Tuesday night.

Giroud and Pedro only have just over six months remaining on their contracts and can speak to foreign clubs in January over free transfer summer moves.

But, particularly in the case of Giroud, Chelsea may be open to bids in the next transfer window when they can still demand a fee and save six months of their wages.

Giroud, who has started just one competitive game under Lampard, wants to leave in January in a bid to keep his place in the France side for next summer’s European Championships.

His last action was 20 minutes as a substitute against Burnley last month and the 33 year-old knows he could lose his place in the France side if he remains at Stamford Bridge for the rest of his contract.

There is plenty of interest from France in Giroud, while Crystal Palace and West Ham United are two Premier League clubs who have been linked with him.

Pedro may be more willing to see out the season at Chelsea, but he has also become a peripheral figure in Lampard’s youth revolution. Billy Gilmour was preferred to the Spaniard on the bench this week and he did not even travel to Ajax in the Champions League last month.
