Encouraging Women Over 35 to Take the Lead: Fada Oluoma’s Perspective on Proposing to Men

Renowned Nigerian Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Chinenye Oluoma, has delivered a bold message to women aged 35 and above who aspire to marry: take matters into your own hands and don't wait for men to propose.

In a video shared on his Facebook page, Oluoma challenges the conventional notion that women should passively wait for men to initiate marriage proposals. Instead, he advocates for women to actively pursue relationships, especially when they notice mutual interest from men.

Addressing women in this age group, Oluoma emphasizes that continuing to wait for men to propose may signal unreadiness for marriage. He humorously remarks that, at 35, waiting for a proposal at the airport implies a lack of readiness, jokingly interpreting "menopause" as "men will pause."

Encouraging women to break societal norms, Oluoma urges them to approach men they are interested in, even if those men lack the confidence to initiate conversations. He advises women to take the initiative, making it easier for men by expressing their own interests and positive qualities.

In essence, Oluoma's message advocates for empowerment and proactive engagement in pursuing romantic relationships, challenging outdated conventions, and empowering women to take charge of their love lives.

Singer Simi Advocates For Couples To Cohabit Before Tying The Knot

In a recent episode of the Tea with Tay podcast, popular Nigerian singer Simi shared her perspective on marriage, advocating for couples to consider living together before taking the plunge into matrimony.

Expressing her viewpoint, Simi acknowledged that her stance might not resonate with everyone, especially considering potential differences in religious beliefs. Despite this, she stressed the importance of understanding each other's personalities comprehensively before committing to a lifelong partnership.

Opening up about her belief, Simi stated, "Maybe I shouldn’t share this opinion because I feel like religious people might not agree with me. [But] I personally think that people who want to get married should live together for a little bit before they do that. Because I don’t think you really know someone that you’re going to marry until you cohabit."

Simi highlighted the significance of experiencing various facets of a partner's character that may not be apparent in public settings. She emphasized that observing someone in different situations, whether hungry, cranky, waking up in the morning, or snoring, provides crucial insights.

While recognizing that some people have successfully married without cohabiting, Simi believes that living together offers valuable insights into compatibility, enabling individuals to make more informed decisions about spending their lives together. She explained, "When you live with someone you know all sides to, that is when you know if you can do forever with them. Millions of people have gotten married without living together. But I personally think it’s a good idea to cohabit before marriage."

Simi clarified that cohabitation doesn't necessarily have to be an extended period but suggested that even a brief time spent living together can offer valuable insights into the dynamics of a relationship.

Marriage Is Beautiful; We Have To Ignore Bad Marriages – Singer Iyanya

Renowned singer Iyanya, born Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, shared his perspective on marriage, emphasizing its inherent beauty despite the prevalent trend of divorces in the entertainment industry.

Speaking on a recent podcast, the 'Kukere' crooner encouraged Nigerians to look beyond instances of "bad marriages" and not let them overshadow the true essence of marriage.

Iyanya expressed, "Marriage is beautiful. We have to learn to ignore bad marriages and not allow them to shape our expectations of marriage. Don't let a negative marital experience convince you that a good marriage is unattainable. If you find someone who loves you and is willing to make sacrifices, marriage can be truly beautiful."

He went on to highlight that he personally knows happily married individuals who, despite facing challenges, protect and cherish their relationships. In his view, some of the happiest couples are not active on social media, choosing to keep their valuable moments private and away from public scrutiny.

Iyanya also touched upon the role of social media in relationships, stating, "Social media is two words: social and media. Is your marriage social? If your intention is to entertain people with your marital life, you might find it challenging to resolve issues privately when they arise." His perspective underscores the importance of safeguarding the intimacy of a marriage and not succumbing to external pressures or expectations, especially those propagated on social media platforms.

44-Year-Old Man Seeks Help After Shocking DNA Results

Olanrewaju Kolawole, a 44-year-old man from Ikire in Osun State, is reaching out to fellow Nigerians for support.

His plea follows the revelation from a DNA test conducted at the DDC DNA Diagnostic Center in Osogbo that none of his four children are biologically related to him.

Kolawole made this appeal during an appearance on a radio program in Ibadan hosted by Oriyomi Hamzat. The heart-wrenching discovery left Kolawole in tears as he disclosed that the DNA tests for all four children produced negative results.

His marriage to Toyin Tella, which began in 2007, brought forth four children. However, the truth about their biological parentage came to light on the radio show.

Kolawole explained, "I want Nigerians to rescue me because I must not suffer this in vain. I married Toyin in 2007 and gave birth to four children. She gave birth to four children, but none of them belongs to me after findings from a DNA test."

In contrast, Mrs. Tella Toyin contested the results and expressed doubts regarding the sampling process, saying, "I don't accept the result. I don't accept it because I was not there when they took samples, and I don't know which sample they took, so I don't accept it. I can't accept it because I know how I conceived those children."
