Fani-Kayode Praises Tinubu’s Ministerial List Despite Exclusion

Prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Femi Fani-Kayode, has broken his silence and commented on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's ministerial nominees' list.

In a tweet on Thursday morning, the former aviation minister congratulated the nominees and extended his best wishes for their service to the nation.

He tweeted, "Congratulations to all those in both the first and second Ministerial lists of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (@officialABAT). They are all excellent choices, and I wish them the very best in their service to our great nation."

Previously, Fani-Kayode had remained quiet about the first list, but he now openly acknowledged the challenges that come with being a minister, drawing from his own experience 16 years ago. He called on Nigerians to keep the nominees in their prayers and sought divine guidance as they take on the responsibility of making crucial decisions for the nation.

Last Thursday, August 03, 2023, President Tinubu transmitted the first batch of ministerial nominees' list to the upper chamber of the National Assembly for screening. The final list, containing 19 names, was read on the floor of the Senate on Wednesday, August 2, by the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.

Despite Fani-Kayode's prominent and controversial role in supporting Tinubu's campaign, he was not included in the list, leading to social media trolling from critics and members of opposition parties.

Fani-Kayode Slams Toyin Lawani Over ‘Nun’ Outfit

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has expressed displeasure over what he described as the “distasteful, tactless and provocative” nun outfit of fashion stylist and entrepreneur, Toyin Lawani.

The controversial fashion stylist who shared pictures of her nun attire to the movie premiere of “The Prophetess”has been receiving bashing for the outfit.

Nigerians have described her outfit as totally outrageous and belittling especially since it was meant to be a representation of the attire worn by the sacred sisters(nun) of the Catholic faith.

Fani-Kayode, who joined the growing list of outraged Nigerians, tweeted “Disrespectful, tasteless, tactless, shameless, bestial, blasphemous, heretical, evil, disgusting, provocative, outrageous, anti-Christ and totally and completely unacceptable.

“This is not art: it is GHETTO RUBBISH!”
