Many Nigerian Pastors Should Be Quarantined – Apostle Osayi

Apostle Arome Israel Osayi, the Founder and President of the Remnant Christian Network, has openly expressed concern about the prevalence of overly zealous messages of prosperity among preachers in Nigeria. In a recently surfaced online message, the cleric suggested that numerous preachers in the country warrant a kind of spiritual quarantine due to their excessive emphasis on prosperity.

Osayi stressed that the prosperity message should not take precedence and that true prosperity is a byproduct of aligning with God. He candidly stated, "If not for the online platform, I have a list of preachers in Nigeria that should be quarantined for an extended period, at least for five years, to undergo thorough purification."

He emphasized that if the message of prosperity dominates a preacher's teachings, they are not serving a purpose in the eyes of God. Osayi asserted, "If the message of prosperity becomes a primary focus, you're not useful to God." According to him, prosperity naturally follows when individuals adhere to God's commands.

Encouraging his audience to be discerning about the kind of prosperity messages they consume, Osayi pointed out that Jesus Christ did not specifically call some individuals who now hide under the banner of prosperity to attract followers. He cautioned, "We need to exercise caution with the type of prosperity message being preached. Jesus did not call some preachers but are using the message of prosperity, and people are flocking to them to tap into it."

Apostle Arome Israel Osayi urged a reevaluation of the prominence given to prosperity in preaching and advised listeners to be vigilant in discerning the true essence of the messages they encounter.

‘Buhari Is An Error This Nation Can Never Repeat’- Bishop Oyedepo

Founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, aka Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, considers electing Muhammadu Buhari as President in 2015, a monumental mistake Nigerians must never repeat. It will be recalled that Oyedepo warned Nigerians against electing Buhari before the 2015 general elections.

Buhari was re-elected for a second term in office in 2019 and will see out a constitutionally permissible second term in office in May of 2023.

Oyedepo, who has never hid his disdain and dislike for Buhari, laments that the 78-year-old ex-military general has allowed banditry and terrorism to fester on his watch.

“The error this nation made in 2015 will never be repeated forever. The choice of the wicked to sit on the throne of Nigeria will never be repeated.

"This nation will experience a new order of settlement,” the bishop said on Sunday, August 29.

Oyedepo added that: “For the blood of many that they have wasted, their generations will pay for it. Every time the Holy Ghost moves on me in this direction, something happens and I know that, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ whom I serve, judgement begins now.

“The Fulani vagabonds are making life impossible for local people and the government claims not to know. Many destinies have been unsettled by the unsettlement in the nation.

“The error this nation made in 2015 will never be repeated. The God of vengeance is rising in defence of this nation today."

Oyedepo once referred to the Buhari administration as a directionless one and  a failure. The popular preacher never misses an opportunity to diss Buhari and the APC from his bully pulpit.
