Borussia Dortmund Captain Marco Reus Played A Part In Five Goals As His Team Thrashed Borussia Monchengladbach 6-0.

Reus, who joined Dortmund from Gladbach just over a decade ago, scored two goals and added three assists, but he declined to take a penalty his team were awarded in additional time, which Emre Can stepped up and converted to complete the rout.

Reus scored the game’s first goal in the 26th minute, pouncing on a rebound after Switzerland goalkeeper Yann Sommer parried a Donyell Malen attempt.

Six minutes later, Reus returned the favor, playing a one-two with Dutchman Malen, who sent a shot past Sommer to increase Dortmund’s lead.

Dortmund put the game out of reach when Reus set up Marius Wolf for a 70th-minute goal, just two minutes after coming off the bench.

Four minutes later, Youssoufa-Moukoko, another replacement, scored Dortmund’s fourth goal, giving the captain his third assist of the game.

After a long pass from defender Mats Hummels, Reus got back among the goals, before Can finished Gladbach’s humiliation from the penalty spot after Wolf was felled in the box.

Lewandowski Scores A Brace To Lead Bayern to Victory

Bayern Munich came from behind to beat Greuther Furth 4-1 in the Bundesliga on Sunday, with Robert Lewandowski scoring twice.

The Poland international extended his league-leading goal tally to 28 in 23 games, helping Bayern maintain a six-point advantage over Borussia Dortmund, who blasted Borussia Monchengladbach 6-0.

In the 42nd minute, Furth skipper Branimir Hrgota put the competitive underdogs ahead with a key deflection from Bayern’s Marcel Sabitzer.

Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann’s half-time team talk had an immediate impact on his players.

Only a minute into the second half, Lewandowski equalized, and Bayern kept pressing, forcing an own goal from Sebastian Griesbeck just beyond the hour mark. Griesbeck also scored an own goal in Bayern’s 3-1 win over Dortmund in their previous encounter.

As Furth fought for an equalizer, Max Christiansen hit the post, but Lewandowski sealed Bayern’s victory with an 82nd-minute header.

In injury time, Serge Gnabry set up half-time replacement Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting for the fourth goal.
