LATE MUSIC ICON FELA ANIKULAPO-KUTI’S FIRST DAUGHTER, YENI CALLS FOR USE OF TRADITIONAL AFRICAN MEDICINE IN CURBING CORRUPTION IN NIGERIA

YENI, the first daughter of the late Afrobeat icon, FELA ANIKULAPO-KUTI, has suggested what she considered would be the solution to fight against corruption in Nigeria.

According to her, traditional African medicine, commonly called ‘Juju’ should be used as a tool in fighting corruption in the country.

YENI, in an interview with a broadcast mdium in Lagos, said no one would steal money if government officials were made to swear by Ogun and other African deities instead of the holy books.

The retired dancer urged Nigerians to stop being hypocrites, adding that some people profess Christianity or Islam by day, yet sneak out at night to consult local herbalists or diviners.
