CHAN EAGLES COACH, SALISU YUSUF NAMES TWENTY PLAYERS FOR BENIN REPUBLIC CLASH, TEAM TO LEAVE FOR COTONOU TODAY

Home-based Super Eagles coach SALISU YUSUF has released his final list of 20 players to prosecute Sunday’s 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier against Benin Republic in Cotonou.

After a two-week camping of a provisional squad of 30 players in Kano, injured Abia Warriors striker, SUNDAY ADETUNJI and nine other players have been released from the squad with the remaining 20 players and the coaching staff set for the trip to Cotonou.

The squad will fly from Kano to Lagos today, from where they will travel to Cotonou by road on the same day.

The match kicks off by 4pm on Sunday and the return leg will be held at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano on Saturday, 19 August, with the winners qualifying for the 5th African Nations Championship scheduled for Kenya early next year.
