ABIA WARRIORS STRIKER, SUNDAY ADETUNJI RULED OUT FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON DUE TO BROKEN ARM INJURY.

Abia Warriors striker SUNDAY ADETUNJI is ruled out for the rest of the Nigerian Professional Football League season after suffering a broken arm during his team’s 4-2 win away at Lobi Stars yesterday.

The former Shooting Stars sustained the injury when he landed awkwardly and fractured his left arm after rising too high to nod in his second goal of the game. ADETUNJI was immediately rushed to the emergency unit of the Benue State University Teaching hospital, Makurdi where he received treatment.

Speaking to the media after treating ADETUNJI, medical Doctors assured that the injury he sustained is not life threatening but the Abia Warriors striker may be sidelined for some weeks considering the enormity of the injury.

ADETUNJI is part of the Nigerian team preparing for CHAN 2018 qualifiers against Benin Republic. The striker will now be exempted from Super Eagles games against the West African opponents and likewise miss the rest of the NPFL season for his club, Abia Warriors.
