3SC IN COMEBACK VICTORY AGAINST GOMBE UNITED, AS ARSENAL BEAT CHELSEA TO LIFT COMMUNITY SHIELD

Shooting Stars recorded a comeback 2-1 victory over Gombe United in a Nigerian Professional Football League matchday 33 fixture at the Adamasingba Stadium, Ibadan on Sunday.

The Oluyole Warriors, who had gone six consecutive home games without conceding, were shocked in the 55th minute when MUSA USMAN gave Gombe United a lead in the game.

Shooting Stars got tested and the home side reacted well as they leveled the scoreline through Captain SEUN AKINYEMI’s converted penalty-kick in the 72nd minute.

However, the comeback was completed in the 79th minute when NOJEEM OLUKOKUN finished-off a rebound to send the home fans into wild jubilations.

Shooting Stars held on to the 2-1 lead and the victory lifted them to the —– position as Gombe United remained on the 19th spot.
