PRESIDENCY SETS RECORD STRAIGHT, SAYS ACTING PRESIDENT YEMI OSINBAJO WILL ASSENT TO 2017 BUDGET

The Presidency has clarified that Acting President, YEMI OSINBAJO, will assent to the 2017 when it is transmitted to the presidency.

The Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Acting President, LAOLU AKANDE made the clarification via his twitter handle.

The clarification became necessary following a statement by the Minister Information, LAI MOHAMMED, during an interview with State House Correspondents, after Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council meeting.

MOHAMMED told journalists at the briefing that presidency will take decisions on who will endorse the budget when it is transmitted to it.

Mr AKANDE explained that when the Acting President is satisfied with the adjustments made in the budget by the National Assembly, he will assent to it.
