RIVERS UNITED HEAD COACH STANLEY EGUMA RUES MISSED PENALTY IN 3-1 CAF CONFEDERATION CUP DEFEAT

Rivers United Technical adviser, STANLEY EGUMA, says the missed penalty kick by EMEKA OGBUGH denied his side a chance of a late comeback in Sunday’s 3-1 defeat to Club Africain of Tunisia in Match day 1 of the CAF Confederations Cup Group A clash.

The Pride of Rivers had a chance from the penalty spot to reduce the deficit to 3-2 with 11 minutes but it was missed.

EGUMA, addressing the media after the defeat in Tunisia, insisted that there were positives to draw from the defeat.

Rivers the United are currently third in group A, behind FUS Rabat and Club Africain.

They host FUS Rabat of Morocco in their next game on the 24th of May.
