Ibadan Explosion: Actress Aisha Lawal Recounts Near-Death Experience

Renowned Nollywood actress Aisha Lawal has shared a harrowing account of her brush with death, narrowly escaping the Ibadan explosion that rocked the city on Tuesday night. The incident unfolded at Dejo Oyelese Close in Bodija Housing Estate.

Taking to the internet to recount her experience, Aisha disclosed that she was in Bodija at the time of the explosion, and the resonating impact still echoes in her ears. The actress detailed how she had initially parked her car near an estate to purchase suya but, fortunately, decided to relocate her vehicle to another spot just moments before the explosion occurred.

Expressing gratitude for her safety, Aisha wrote, “Alhamdulilah for today, I was at Bodija when the explosion took place, in fact, my ears are still ringing from the effect. Thank God for our lives. I parked to buy suya opposite that Estate, but later, I moved my car from Sloggers Club to the Metro Hotel on the same Osuntokun when it happened. God have mercy oo. Too many dead bodies. What exactly is going on?”

Blessing CEO Writes Petition Against Popular Prankster, Untouchable Over Fake Arrest

Self-proclaimed relationship expert Blessing Okoro, also known as Blessing CEO, has lodged a formal complaint against popular prankster Untouchable, who recently orchestrated a prank arrest involving her.

Untouchable employed individuals dressed as police officers, driving in a police van, to carry out the elaborate prank on Blessing. A video circulating on the internet captures the staged arrest, with men in police uniform stopping Blessing on her way to the airport and forcibly taking her into their van, feigning an arrest. The distressing footage shows Blessing in the police van, visibly upset and crying.

Blessing, in a petition submitted to the Lagos State Police Command, accuses Untouchable and his team of not only subjecting her to emotional distress but also stealing her money during the prank, which she claims posed a serious threat to her life. In a post on her Instagram page, Blessing shared details of the petition, expressing her dissatisfaction with the extreme nature of the prank.

She wrote, “A few days ago, one silly prank boy, Untouchable, pranked me, using armed men to harass me on my way to the airport. I was bundled like a criminal and thrown into a van, beaten, injured, and almost killed. My money and my phone were stolen. In the end, I was told it was a prank. This prank was posted on his pages to humiliate me in public."

Blessing emphasised that pranks should have limits and asserted her decision to seek justice through legal channels. She commended the Nigerian police for their cooperation in the matter and expressed anticipation for a thorough investigation and the delivery of justice.

Mohbad Did Not Leave Any Will Behind – Management Clarifies

The management of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad, has vehemently denied the assertion that the artist left a will. This rebuttal comes in response to recent statements made by Mohbad's father, Joseph Aloba, who, in a recent interview, claimed that his son had written a will before his demise.

In a statement posted on the late singer's Instagram page on Monday, Mohbad's management dismissed the claim as "false and misleading." The statement clarified, "No members of Mohbad’s management or his lawyer have communicated the existence of a will or any such thumb-printed document (as has recently been falsely reported) to any family member or the public."

The management emphasised that if a document of such nature did exist, it would have been officially registered with the Probate Registry. The statement urged everyone to refrain from spreading inaccurate and misleading information.

Furthermore, the management disclosed that all accounts owned and managed by Mohbad during his lifetime were placed on a post-no-debit order on September 12, 2023, and this order remains in effect.
