The presidency has refused to react to the claim of the World Bank Group that President MUHAMMADU BUHARI asked the organisation to focus attention on northern Nigeria.
It was reported that JIM YONG KIM, president of the group, said at a news conference in Washington DC yesterday, that BUHARI asked the organisation to focus on the northern part of the country.
When an online medium, TheCable called GARBA SHEHU, senior special assistant on media to the president, for comment, he said he had been out of town and not in the “loop of things”.
On his part, FEMI ADESINA, the special adviser on media and publicity to the president, said “no comment” when TheCable reached him for a reaction.
Kim was quoted to have said the bank concentrated on northern Nigeria based on President BUHARI’s request.
