ULC suspends strike action, to continue negotiations with Government next week

The leadership of the United Labour Congress, ULC has called off the strike embarked upon by its affiliate unions.

President of the ULC, Mr JOE AJAERO announced the suspension of the strike action after meeting with the Federal Government Negotiation Team led by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr CHRIS NGIGE in Abuja.

The ULC President says part of the agreement was for the union to suspend the strike action which has entered a third day, while the two groups will also meet next week for the continuation of dialogue.

 

The labour minister said that the proposal for the registration of ULC was on and that there was no finality that ULC will not be registered.
