Nigerian Medical Association, Osun State Chapter declares Seven – day warning strike

the Nigerian Medical Association, Osun state chapter has ordered its members to proceed on a 7-day warning strike over the failure of the Osun state government to address their demands.

The directive by the Osun NMA Chairman, Dr TOKUNBO OLAJUMOKE is coming at the expiration of the 21-day ultimatum issued to the government.

Rising from an emergency general meeting, Dr OLAJUMOKE told journalists that the health care givers have given the government over 90 days of grace to meet and dialogue but all efforts have been futile.

The Commissioner for Health, Dr RAFIU MUSAMOTU appealed to the doctors to be patient with the state government as their requests are being looked into.
