Court of Appeal fixes November 3rd to hear appeal by former first lady over Alleged 5.7 million dollar stolen fund

The Court of Appeal in Lagos will on November the 3rd hear an appeal filed by former first lady, Dame PATIENCE JONATHAN, seeking to stop the forfeiture of 5.7 million dollars belonging to her to the federal government.

The trial judge, Justice MOJISOLA OLATOREGUN had on April the 26th, ordered the temporary forfeiture of the monies lodged in a commercial bank in the name of L.A Wari Furniture and Bags Ltd.

At the resumed hearing today, the court granted the application filed by counsel to Mrs JONATHAN, FRIDAY ADEDIPE and counsel to L.A WARI Furniture and Bags, Mr MIKE OZEKHOME.

The counsel asked the court for an extension of time for the appellant to appeal.
