Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji SA’AD ABUBAKAR, has appealed to Nigerians to live in peace with one another and avoid actions that would threaten peaceful coexistence of peoples of various ethnic groups.

The sultan made the appeal in a statement issued today in Sokoto by the Sultanate Council Secretary, Alhaji UMAR LADAN.

Sultan SA’AD ABUBAKAR appealed to elder statesmen and community leaders in the country to continue preaching peaceful coexistence by educating the youths irrespective of their socio-cultural differences.

The Sultan noted that the acts of some few bad ones among us cannot be left to tear the country apart adding they should also be called to order.

He further said that the traditional leaders in the country were doing everything possible to bring the current situation under control and urged them to redouble efforts.
