Super Eagles Manager Gernot Rohr has expressed satisfaction with his team’s draw against Cameroon in the Russia 2018 world cup qualifying second leg in Yaounde.
Following a four-nil victory in Uyo last Friday, the match at the Stade Omnisport Ahmadou Ahidjo ended in a stalemate, with Vincent Aboubakar’s penalty cancelling out Moses Simon’s first half strike.
Rohr said he expected a difficult game in Cameroon, adding that he was happy with the draw as the team achieved the target of four points against the African champions.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, the German said and I quote: “It was a different team of Cameroon, they had three fresh players. We had the same team, but we are very happy about this point because our goal was to have four points against Cameroon.”
The eagles can seal a berth in Russia with victory over Zambia in Uyo in October
