Security formations within Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area have renewed their commitment to adequate security of lives and properties of residents within the council area.
They gave these words of assurance during the inaugural peace and security meeting chaired by the Chairman of the council, VALENTINE BURAIMOH at the Council Secretariat in Festac Town
Briefing newsmen shortly after the meeting, VALENTINE BURAIMOH said the meeting was called to get reports from all security agencies, with a view to addressing issues on black spots, bad roads, blocked drainages and other security challenges in the community.
Speaking further, VALENTINE BURAIMOH noted that the current security situation in the country is precarious stressing the need to be proactive to combat any form of unseen security breach.
A strategic committee headed by a former chairman of the council, RASHEED OTOLORIN was later constituted to look into issues of security and environmental black spots within the area.
Immediate past Chairman of the council, AYODELE ADEWALE opined that Amuwo Odofin is very strategic and viable for business opportunities in the state.
