The presidency has denied knowledge of the alleged departure of the Nigerian presidential jet from London.
The speculation about the President MUHAMMADU BUHARI’s return was rife Tuesday when some sources in London had claimed that the President’s aircraft had taken off suggesting that the President had left London where he is on medical vacation since May the 7th.
But the media team of President MUHAMMADU BUHARI has denied knowledge of claim, saying that it should be taken as rumour as there was no information available to them.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, GARBA SHEHU, said he was not aware of such development just as the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr FEMI ADESINA said he was not informed of anything like that.
ADESINA said if the president is coming, the tradition is that his aides would be asked to issue a statement but insisted there has been no such instruction.
So far, there is no confirmation to the effect that the presidential aircraft had left London and there has been no movement within the Presidential Villa to support the rumour.
