Brooks Koepka Wins US Open

American Brooks Koepka equalled the US Open’s lowest winning score of sixteen-under to claim his first major at Erin Hills.

The world number twenty-two birdied three of his final five holes to shoot a five-under sixty-seven at Erin Hills to pull clear of overnight leader Brian Harman and the chasing pack.

Koepka’s score was only bettered by Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama who posted sixty-six to tie for second on twelve-under with Harman.

The win continues the run of maiden major winners at the US Open stretching back to 2009.
