Kogi State Governor, YAHAYA BELLO has denied allegations that he earmarked N1 billion for the recall of DINO MELAYE, a senator representing Kogi West Senatorial district.
BELLO who spoke to newsmen after a closed-door meeting with Acting President YEMI OSINBAJO called on the Senate to check the excesses of members that have deviant tendencies so they are not all addressed as same breed.
The governor who told newsmen that he came to brief the Acting President on the development in his state insists that MELAYE must be called to order.
Two people were reported to have died during a rally early in the week organised by Senator DINO MELAYE in Lokoja, the state capital.
The people of Kogi West Senatorial District comprising Ijumu, Kabba/Bunu, Lokoja, Kogi, Mopa/Amuro, Yagba West and Yagba East have also began the process to recall MELAYE from the senate.
