Nothern youths ask Igbos to leave the North: give ultimatum

Prominent northern youth groups rising from a joint meeting in Kaduna have given the Igbos up till October-one this year to leave the northern region.

This comes days after the shutting down of major towns in the South East on May 30, 2017 as part of the campaign by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB for the actualization of a Biafran Republic.

The northern youths organizations, which had their leaders in attendance, include Arewa citizens action for change, Arewa youth consultative forum, Arewa youth development foundation, Arewa students forum and Northern emancipation network on the Igbo persistence for secession among others.

In a telephone interview with Inspiration fm, the National President of the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, YERIMA SHETTIMA decried the persistent call for the actualization of a Sovereign Biafra by the Igbos of South-eastern Nigeria.

SHETTIMA said that the latest encroachment on the rights of northern indigenes, the unlawful activities in areas illegally demarcated as Biafra and the unwanton Killings of its people will no longer be tolerated.
