Nigerian workers today join their counterparts from all over the world to celebrate the International Workers’ Day, also known as Labour Day in some places, but commonly referred to as May Day in Nigeria.

People enjoy celebrating the May Day or Labour Day by going out for festivities, or just take the time to relax with family and friends.
The celebration has become a historic significance all over the world and celebrated by Labor unions worldwide with a variety of demonstrations, speeches, protests processions, rallies and parades organized by the working group people under security arrangements to protect against violence.
The Federal Government has declared today, Monday, May one, a public holiday to commemorate the day.
