AHEAD OF MAY DAY CELEBRATIONS, NIGERIA LABOUR CONGRESS WANTS REVIEW OF MINIMUM WAGE

And ahead of the May Day celebration in Nigeria, the country’s Labour congress has called on the federal government to review its minimum wage.

During a press conference in Abuja, the union decried the level of corruption in the country and the way looting has been uncovered in different parts.

The union leaders say there is need to critically revive the economy and chart the way for a national rebirth in a manner that will create stable socio-economic policies for the people.

The theme for this year’s May Day Celebration is “Labour Relations in Economic Recession: An Appraisal”.
