The federal government has said it is waiting for reaction from the National Bureau of Statistics on the published report by the World Economics that says Nigeria is now out of recession.
You will recall that some Economic and Public Affairs Analysts have faulted the position of the World Economics on the basis that there was nothing on ground to justify the claim.
However, the Special Adviser to the President on Economic Matters in the office of the Vice President, Dr. ADEYEMI DIPEOLU said the federal government is not in a haste to accept the report of the World Economics.
Dr. ADEYEMI DIPEOLU made this position known at the just concluded workshop on Economic Communications in Abuja.
In the meantime, a development economist and international finance specialist, Mr ODILIM ENWEGBARA, says the federal government must address the nation’s structural problems through fiscal federalism.
