The author of the popular children novel, Eze Goes to School, ONUORA NZEKWU, has died at the age of 89.
A family member, Mr LOUIS CHUKE, confirmed that NZEKWU died on Friday evening in his home in Onitsha, Anambra state, where he had been living in retirement.
The late ONUORA NZEKWU was the founding General Manager of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) as he joined the Federal Civil Service in 1956.
Eze Goes to School, a novel published in 1971, was a delight to children of primary and junior secondary school age.
ONUORA NZEKWU is also the author of Troubled Dust, a novel that recounts the experiences of the civil war.
