Ondo state in celebratory mood as Rotimi Akeredolu takes oath of office as governor

Ondo state is in a celebratory mood today following the swearing in of Mr. ROTIMI AKERODOLU as the governor of the state.

He replaces OLUSEGUN MIMIKO. Earlier, AJAYI AGBOOLA was sworn into office as Deputy Governor.

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress, including BOLA TINUBU and BISI AKANDE, as well as the APC National Chairman- JOHN OYEGUN attended the event today in Akure, the state capital, amongst other friends and family members.

AYO FAYOSE of Ekiti state and Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Governor’s Forum, also witnessed the transfer of Power from the PDP to APC.

President of the senate, BUKOLA SARAKI, and governors of Ogun, Niger, Kogi, Sokoto and Oyo states were also in attendance.

Governor AKEREDOLU is the sixth elected governor of the state; the first being Chief MICHAEL AJASIN in 1979 under the Unity Party of Nigeria, UPN.
