Twenty people are feared dead in a fresh communal clash between members a community in Akwa Ibom State and another community in Cross River State.
It was learnt that the clash between the Oku Iboku community and Ikot Offiong community started on Friday night with both sides using sophisticated weapons, responsible for the high number of casualties.
The Akwa Ibom Police Public Relations Officer, ASP CORDELIA NWAWE, confirmed the incident, but refused to confirm the number of casualty.
He added that the area is now calm as his men had been on ground since yesterday to salvage the situation.
The two communities had earlier clashed in December 2016, resulting in the death of four people.
