President of the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights, MALACHY UGWUMADU says it is too early for the former Delta state Governor, JAMES IBORI to celebrate his return to the country.
You will recall that JAMES IBORI arrived Nigeria through the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja over the weekend.
He was later received by crowd of supporters including; families, friends and associates at his home town, Oghara in Delta state.
While speaking with Inspiration fm, President of the CDHR, MALACHY UGWUMADU said the EFCC can still re-arraign JAMES IBORI on amended charges.
He also told correspondent TAIWO OLAPADE that it was sad and disappointing to see JAMES IBORI receiving a heroic welcome.
Following his conviction in the United Kingdom, there were criticisms against the nation’s justice system, especially an Asaba High Court which had struck out 170 charges which the EFCC had brought against the former Delta state governor.
On his arrival, the Director General of the Department of State Services, LAWAL DAURA had a brief closed-door session with JAMES IBORI at its headquarters in Abuja.
