Here in Lagos, the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has expressed satisfaction and support for the emergence of Ekiti state governor, AYO FAYOSE, as the chairman of the PDP governor’s forum.
The state chapter opines that the onerous task to rescue the party now partly resting on the governor is one that any genuine member who is truly interested in the return of PDP to Presidency should support with all that is possible.
Sharing the party’s opinion is the Lagos state chairman of the party and former member of the House of Representatives, MOSHOOD SALVADOR.
In a statement released by the Lagos spokesman of the party, TAOFIK GANI, SALVADOR however recommends to governor FAYOSE to take advantage of this new role to facilitate genuine long lasting mobilisation and reconciliation in the party to meet up with the modern challenges of nation building and to particularly override the assumed superiority of the APC in the nation’s politics.
In achieving this objective, MOSHOOD SALVADOR advised the governor to infuse the party state chairmen into an extended forum where party issues can be shared first-hand, especially with states where the PDP is not in government.
