Six French soldiers accused of sexually abusing children, yet to be charged.

Six French soldiers accused of sexually abusing children in the Central African Republic have not been charged following a criminal inquiry.

The prosecutor’s office in Paris confirmed to the BBC that investigating judges found no evidence to warrant further investigation on the matter.

The assaults allegedly took place at a camp for displaced people near the airport in the capital Bangui between December 2013 and June 2014.

French soldiers were sent to Central African Republic after the outbreak of the civil war in 2013.
