Hollywood icon, DEBBIE REYNOLDS, who starred opposite GENE KELLY in the 1952 musical Singin’ in the Rain, has died a day after the death of her daughter, CARRIE FISHER, who died of heart attack.
Her son, TODD FISHER, said her last words were “I miss her so much, I want to be with CARRIE,” before passing on.
REYNOLDS was at her and Fisher’s house when she had to be rushed to the hospital for a possible stroke on Wednesday afternoon.
On Tuesday, Reynolds had taken to social media to thank fans for their support in the wake of her daughter’s death.
US actress BETTE MIDLER said Reynolds was “devoted to her craft” and that her death was “too hard to comprehend”.
