Justice ADENIYI ADEMOLA, a serving judge, and his wife, OLUBOWALE, have been arraigned before an Abuja high court.
ADEMOLA and his wife, who is the Lagos state head of service, were brought before Justice JUDE OKEKE an Abuja high court judge on a fifteen-count charge of corruption to the tune of two hundred and forty-eight million Naira.
Both accused persons were in the dock as proceedings commenced.
The ADEMOLAs are also alleged to have received five hundred and twenty thousand Dollars as gratification from some law firms between 2013 and 2016.
Recall that ADEMOLA is one of the seven judges who were arrested on October 8 by the Department of State Services, DSS, on allegations of corruption.
SYLVESTER NGWUTA, a Supreme Court judge, who was also arrested, was arraigned before a federal high court in November.
The government lined up at least four witnesses that will testify against the ADEMOLAs.
However, Justice Jude Okeke has granted ADENIYI ADEMOLA, and his wife, OLABOWALE, bail on self recognition in the sum of fifty million Naira. The judge held that they were to deposit their international passports at the court.
