KACHIKWU says Nigeria’s hopes of achieving 2.1 million bpd production capacity is feasible.

The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr IBE KACHIKWU has said that Nigeria’s hopes of achieving an oil production capacity of two point one million barrels per day will come into fruition from next month.

Dr KACHIKWU spoke today at a Bloomberg Markets Summit in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates.

KACHIKWU also said he was expecting more production cuts from non-OPEC producers at this Saturday’s meeting of oil producers in Vienna, and that he hoped to see oil prices at sixty dollars per barrel by December 2017.

The Minister said currently, Nigeria is producing one point nine million barrels per day.
