Rohr Plays Down Balogun, Ideye Injuries

Twenty-two of the twenty-three invited players have now arrived the Super Eagles camp in Abuja ahead of Saturday’s World Cup qualifier against Algeria- with only Elderson Echiejile still being expected.

Captain John  Mikel Obi and Ahmed Musa arrived earlier in the day, and were both part of the first training session at 10 am today, but Dele Alampasu and Oghenekaro Etebo came in later and missed that session.

There were injury concerns over Leon Balogun, Brown Ideye and Shehu Abdullahi, who sat out the teams first training session, but Super Eagles technical adviser Gernot Rohr has said that the injuries not serious, insisting they will train fully with the team on Wednesday.

There’s also been an alteration in the Eagles’ travel plans, as they will now leave for Uyo- venue of the match by 3 pm tomorrow, Wednesday, rather than Thursday.
