J.Atete FC will appeal a controversial 2-1 loss they suffered at the hands of ABS FC in a continued Nigeria National League match played in Abuja.
The original clash in Sapele was abandoned following crowd trouble and the remaining 11 minutes of the match was played on Wednesday in Abuja with ABS winning courtesy of a penalty awarded them.
“We do not accept this result and we will protest,” said Julius Atete, owner of J.Atete FC.
”If it means going to FIFA, I will. I have my evidence, the video clip of the match.”
The win pushes ABS within a match of a sensational return to the premier league. Their final game is against fellow promotion chasers Gateway FC, who are also on 21 points.
