Former President, GOODLUCK JONATHAN has been speaking about how his administration worked to shape the future for Nigeria saying that his transformation agenda was designed to engage the nation and stimulate higher productivity.
According to him, while serving as President, he worked for the next generation and not for the next elections.
GOODLUCK JONATHAN who spoke in a lecture at the Oxford Union of Oxford University in the United Kingdom stated that during his administration, government worked and achieved what he called an era of unprecedented economic growth for Nigeria.
In his words, ‘I was elected to spread wealth, not poverty.’
Speaking later in a question and answer session with the audience, former President JONATHAN said while he was not going to express his views on the fight against corruption, the raid on the residences of judges contravened the principles of separation of powers.
