Former Minister of State for Defence, MUSILIU OBANIKORO has told the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC all it needs to know about the four point seven billion naira corruption allegations leveled against him.
Reports reaching us say OBANIKORO who only returned to Nigeria on Monday has told EFCC investigators that of the money released to him by the Office of the National Security Adviser, he gave two point two billion naira to current Ekiti state governor, AYO FAYOSE.
According to him, he handed over five point three million dollars in cash to FAYOSE while one point three billion naira was received by one ABIODUN AGBELE, an Associate of Governor FAYOSE.
The funds were reportedly used to prosecute the 2014 Ekiti state governorship election which was won by AYO FAYOSE of the PDP.
OBANIKORO who however denied that he is the owner of the company used to transfer the cash, Sylva Mcnamara Limited is still in EFCC detention.
