Imama Amapakabo has reportedly agreed to sign a new 2-year deal to remain coach of Nigeria league champions Rangers International of Enugu.
His previous contract expired at the end of the season.
Amapakabo, 47, has insisted nothing is concrete.
“I have agreed a 2 year deal with Champions Rangers International but I am yet to put pen to paper”
The Rivers born gaffer was first appointed interim head coach of Rangers during the 2014/ 2015 season following the dismissal of Kelechi Emeteole due to poor results.
He guided the club to 12th place in the table and was handed the role on a permanent basis before the start of the recently concluded season.
Amakapabo then led the Enugu giants to their first league title in 32 years, playing attractive football in the process.
