Twenty one chibok schoolgirls have regained their freedom yesterday after over 900 days in Boko Haram captivity.
The girls after they were flown into Abuja were met by Vice President YEMI OSINBAJO as part of their debriefing at the DSS medical facility in Abuja.
All the girls have been identified and their names released as they arrived in Abuja with Vice President OSINBAJO disclosing that one of them came with a 20-month-old baby she had while in the Boko Haram captivity.
OSINBAJO, his wife DOLAPO and some presidency officials told the girls at a brief reception that the whole country has been waiting for them.
OSINBAJO disclosed that no prisoner swap was involved in securing the freedom of the 21 girls.
The Vice President insisted that as far as the federal government is concerned, the remaining girls would also be freed.
Vice President OSINBAJO also spoke of plans to re-unite the girls with their families as soon as possible.
