Controversial Fury Gives up Heavyweight Titles

British boxer, Tyson Fury has vacated his WBO and WBA heavyweight titles to continue his medical treatment and recovery.

The 28-year- old, who has admitted taking cocaine to deal with depression, could also lose his boxing licence later today.

Fury has not fought since beating Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015, but his uncle and trainer, Peter, has vowed that his ward will return stronger to reclaim his rightful place in the  sport.

Meanwhile British heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua could replace Fury as the WBA title holder after promoter Eddie Hearn disclosed that an arrangement has almost been reached for Joshua to fight Klitschko for the IBF belt as a well as the now vacant WBA title.
