Protest rocks major streets of Benin City by supporters of the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democractic Party in the just concluded Edo Election

Protest  rocks major streets of Benin city yesterday by supporters of the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the just concluded Edo election, OSAGIE IZE- IYAMU.

The protesters called for the cancellation of the results announced by INEC in which GODWIN OBASEKI of the All Progressives Congress was declared winner of the September 28 governorship election.

The aggrieved supporters of the PDP candidate started their march through the streets at the IZE-IYAMU Campaign office on Akpakpava Road and moved to several parts of the Benin metropolis such as First East Circular Road, Second East Circular Road, Dawson Road and New Benin before returning to their take off point.
