The federal Government declares Monday October 3, 2016, as public holiday to mark Nigeria’s 56th independence anniversary

The federal government has declared Monday October 3, 2016 as public holiday to mark Nigeria’s 56th independence anniversary.

This was contained in a statement issued by the ministry of interior in Abuja.

The statement quotes interior minister ABDULRAHMAN DAMBAZAU of congratulating Nigerian’s home and abroad on the commemoration   if this year’s independence anniversary and  assures them  that government is working assiduously to put in place various palliatives to cushion the effect of the current economic challenges.
