The House of Representatives have suspended the former chairman of the committee on Appropriations, ABDULMUMIN JIBRIN for 180 sitting days for breaching the practices and rules of the house.
According to the house, ABDULMUMIN JIBRIN is also required to tender a formal written apology to the house before his future resumption of legislative duties.
He is also barred from position of authority in the House till the end d of the eighth Assembly.
You will recall that house committee on ethics and privileges on Monday, September 26, concluded public hearing on its investigation of the kano born lawmaker over allegations of padding of the 2016 budget levelled against the leadership of the house including the speaker, YAKUBU DOGARA.
ABDULMUMIN JIBRIN refused to appear before the ethics and privileges committee since he had instituted a case in court to prevent his suspension and that the house is aware of the case
