Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has said he hopes England boss, Arsene Wenger clears his name, following recent allegations in a British newspaper.
A Daily Mail investigation showed that Allardyce tried to use his role to negotiate a £400,000 deal, while offering advice on how to circumvent third-party rules on player transfers.
The 61-year-old also appeared to criticize the Football Association, his England predecessor, Roy Dodgson and former England assistant manager, Gary Neville.
Wenger, who denied being approached by the undercover reporters who ultimately deceived Allardyce, said the England manager needs to be given the chance to defend himself.
Allardyce is yet to respond to the allegations, but he had been meeting with top officials of the FA on Tuesday.
