Russia 2016: Zambia continue preparations ahead of Eagles clash

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ), yesterday, beefed up its technical crew with the appointment of two assistant coaches, ahead of their World Cup qualifying match against the Super Eagles.
The coaches whose appointments were made public by FAZ yesterday are Chintu Kampamba and Aggrey Chiyangi.
The FA, it would be recalled, earlier this month, appointed Wedson Nyirenda as acting head coach while the duo of Kampamba and Chiyangi would assist him as the Chipolopolo plots the Super Eagles’ fall in Ndola when both sides meet October 9.
The Southern Africans would also do battle against Cameroon and Algeria who are also in the same Group.
Chiyangi was appointed in May alongside Elijah Chikwanda to work with then acting coach, George Lwandamina, while Kampamba, an ex-international, played at the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Zambian FA however hopes to hire a foreign technical adviser before the match against Nigeria. FAZ, it would be noted, has shortlisted three foreign coaches for the job but is only waiting for government approval, since it is the government that would pay the coach in the absence of a sponsor for the national team.
