Game of thrones becomes the most decorated fictional show at the 68th Emmy awards

For some entertainment, the fantasy epic Game of Thrones has made television history at the sixty eighth Emmy awards, becoming the most decorated fictional show since the awards began nearly seven decades ago.

The series picked up twelve total Emmys this season, nine in technical categories and three top prizes at the ceremony in Los Angeles.

The Emmys is regarded as television’s equivalent of the Oscars.

The Game of Thrones took home the most coveted prize of the night, Best Drama Emmy along with statues for Best Writing and Directing.

Game of Thrones is a blood-spattered, sex-filled saga about noble families vying for control of the iron throne.
