Fourteen oil company workers abducted two weeks ago regains their freedom.

Meanwhile, in Rivers state, the fourteen workers of an oil company abducted two weeks ago along the Omoku-Ahoada Road have regained their freedom.

The Public Relations Officer of the Rivers state Police Command NNAMDI OMONI in a statement in Port Harcourt said the workers were rescued unhurt through the efforts of the Command’s tactical units.

OMONI said the unit in the early hours of Sunday engaged the hoodlums in a fierce gun battle for over one hour leading to the rescue of the victims, as the kidnappers having been overpowered, abandoned their hostages and fled.
